RAISE HIGHER
“He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm”
(Proverbs 13:20, NIV)
Sometimes in order to embrace the destiny God has in store, you have to be
willing to make some difficult changes in your life. You have to be willing to
examine where you are and what you need to do in order to move forward. This
may mean that you need to change some friends you’re spending time with. Maybe
they were fine for a season in your life, but you’ve outgrown them. This is a
new season, and in order for you to rise higher, you have to break away from
relationships that are limiting you. You have to develop some new friendships
with people who are going to pull you up and inspire you to rise higher.
I’ve found that if you’re the smartest one in your group, your group is too
small. Find people who are smarter than you, people who will challenge you to
stretch to the next level. Remember, he who walks with the wise becomes wise.
Choose your friends wisely so that you can rise higher and walk in the destiny
God has for you.

LOVE YOURSELF
Are you bored with yourself and fed up with what you think you are? It is important that you find yourself acceptable to you. Have a self that you like, one you can trust and believe in. when yourself image is one you can be proud of, you feel self confident.
Do you at times wish you could have a two weeks’ vacation from yourself? Unfortunately you can’t. You are forever stuck by yourself. It is yours to keep, no way out and no alternatives you must live with yourself every day and night as long as you live. You cannot get away from that three part entity, body, mind and soul called you. You are stuck with yourself.
It is therefore sensible and important to figure out how to live with yourself in some sort of peace and happiness and least most of, if not all, the time. Even in a normal balanced personality, there is still residence in human nature a vague haunting dissatisfaction which will always be present within you. Maybe as a basic mechanism installed in us by our creator to act as insurance against being content with ourselves. This adds balance to your personality development and increases one’s assurance of success in life.
HOW
Learn to know yourself and you will discover deep qualities you never knew you possessed. Since you will spend so much time with yourself, you might as well get some satisfaction from the relationship. Always remember that your worst self is pretty bad and it is full of old Adam. No matter how nice you are, you have human nature on the raw thinly coated. You therefore need to get your best self into firm control and keep it there. Your best self is not derived from old Adam but from God. It is the God in you
So by loving yourself, it is important that you love God first since God is within you by nature. As you get to know God, you will know yourself better and love yourself more

GUARD THE TEMPLE OF GOD
Joh 2:13 The Jewish Passover was near, so Jesus went to Jerusalem.
Joh 2:14 He found those who were selling cattle, sheep, and pigeons in the temple courtyard. He also found moneychangers sitting there.
Joh 2:15 He made a whip from small ropes and threw everyone with their sheep and cattle out of the temple courtyard. He dumped the moneychangers' coins and knocked over their tables.
Joh 2:16 He told those who sold pigeons, "Pick up this stuff, and get it out of here! Stop making my Father's house a marketplace!"
This passage reminds me that our bodies are the temples of Christ. Many are the times we allow ourselves to be clouded by many worldly things that we loss focus to the purpose God created us for. The bible tells that that the main purpose God created us is to worship Him (acts 17:27).
Have we filled our hearts with the hustles and buzzles of this live that we even have no time for God? Are we so pre occupied in making our lives comfortable and forgotten the giver of that live? Does he has a place in our hearts or are our hearts full of the selling and buying and money changing that we can hardly even hear Him talk to us?
May God help us to clear our hearts of all that comes between us and God so that we can have a place for Him in it. May we not wait until God takes a whip and clears our hearts for Himself.
